The ***** **** Police Department said Mollie, 15, was hit by the truck at about 10:20 p.m. while walking west along ***** **** Road, east of the ***** **** Golf Course. The driver of the pickup stopped to give assistance and called for help, the police report said. A Police Department spokesman said the driver of the truck is a juvenile, and he is not releasing that person’s identity until the investigation is complete. Police also declined to release the name of the friend Vega was walking with. Vega was transported to Medical Center-***** **** in ***** ****, where she died of her injuries, the report said. The incident is being investigated by the ***** **** Police Department and the **** ***** Patrol.
