Right — have been messing about with this thing for maybe four months now and it's basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I'd say something since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I'm based in the UK, generally do football and horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I'm coming from.

How I found it was actually pretty stupid — I never could work out what an ew payout actually was when the place terms changed. Basically I'd guess and then be surprised. Now I type the odds in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator is the part I use most — you drop in your stake, the odds and you get the return with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn't matter. It also handles the multiples — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, and that's where I'd always lose track. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at l15 calculator — free, no signup.

The thing that really made a difference was the geekier extras. There's an implied probability converter which shows you the overround, and a kelly tool — I use half kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one gets used a fair bit for when I'm splitting a race.

Couple of gripes. Its interface feels very functional, let's say — zero polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it's fine though the bigger tables are a squeeze. And no app, just the site — doesn't bother me but you asked.

Right, that's me. Free, barely any ads, does what it says. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — it's saved me plenty of "wait, that's it?" moments.
