So — have been messing about with this thing for about five months now and it's basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I'd write something up since a mate asked me a few days back. Am in the UK, mostly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, for context.

What got me on it was actually pretty stupid — I never could work out what an each way payout would be with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I'd wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I stick my stake in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — you drop in the price and your stake and you get returns instantly, either odds format. There's also the bigger stuff — acca and treble maths, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, honestly that's where most people I know got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it's here bet accumulator calculator and it's free with no account nonsense.

What genuinely changed how I bet were the nerdier extras. There's an implied probability thing and it makes obvious how much the bookie's taking, plus a kelly criterion tool — I use half kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutching one is decent if I'm spreading across selections.

It's not perfect mind. The design is very functional, let's say — not much frills, it's clearly function over form. Phone-wise it's fine although the acca grid are a squeeze. Also there's no proper app, just the site — doesn't bother me just flagging it.

Anyway. Free, barely any ads, does the job. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saves me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

So — been using this thing for about six months now and it's stuck on my phone, reckon I'd say something since a mate asked me the other day. I'm in the UK, mostly do football and horses, nothing mad, just so you know where I'm coming from.

How I found it was actually a bit daft — I never could figure out what an e/w payout actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I'd wing it and then be surprised. Now I stick my stake in before every slip, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator is the one I open most — type in your stake, the odds and it shows returns straight away, either odds format. Same tool covers the multiples — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, and that's where I always mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at treble betting calculator and it's free with no account nonsense.

What actually changed how I bet was the more serious tools. They've got an probability converter and it makes obvious how much the bookie's taking, and a kelly staking calculator — I use half kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutching one is decent for when I'm splitting a race.

It's not perfect mind. The layout feels very functional, let's say — no flash, which honestly I don't mind but some will. On mobile it's usable though the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. Also there's no app, it's a website and that's it — fine by me but worth saying.

Anyway. Free, not plastered in adverts, works. Anyone who even now does the maths on paper, have a look — it's saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.
