jmukiki
There is a mother, a father, 2 sons, 2 daughters, a hunter, and a dog on one side of a river. There is only one boat. Only the mother, father and hunter can drive the boat, and the boat can ONLY hold 2 living creatures at a time, the driver and passenger. If the hunter isn't with the dog, then the dog will kill everyone else. If the mother leaves the daughters with the father, then the father will kill them. If the father leaves the sons with the mother, then the mother will kill them. Now get them all across the river without anyone dying.

SoBeLiz
ok this was actually easy the dog and the hunter cross first then the mother and her daughter then the father and son you see, the mother is a daughter herself-theres the two daughters same with the father- he is someone's son style_emoticons/default/nod.gif
jmukiki
Once the hunter and dog cross, how does the boat get back to the other side for the daughter and mother to cross? The hunter would have to take the boat back across so that the others could use it... And it's interesting that you look at the mother as a daughter...I didn't think of that one... fluffyrat
Okie doke...here we go: The doggie swims across the river. The hunter takes one of the daughters across in the boat and leaves her. (The doggie is still swimming) He returns and the mother takes her other daughter across in the boat, leaving the hunter at the starting point. (The doggie is still swimming) The mother then comes back and takes the hunter across and goes back for her husband. By this point the dog has reached the shore, but the hunter is there. The mother takes her husband across and she gets out. The father goes back for one son, they get out on the other side, and the hunter takes the dog over with him, switches the dog for the second son and takes him over. Lastly, he goes back AGAIN for the dog. Everyone is safely across, and the only wet one is the doggie.
jmukiki
How do you know the dog knows how to swim?! Becky's dog is not the most intelligent pup...and couldn't make it across a river. And...the doggy might swim faster than you think. But good try. fluffyrat
No that's the answer. It's a hunter's dog. Therefore it's either a lab or a hound. Or an Spinone Italiano. All of which can swim. So, it can swim and I got the answer right. You just can't handle it. lol
