Right — have been messing about with this thing for maybe a few months now and I keep coming back, so thought I'd write something up since a mate asked me the other day. I'm in the UK, generally bet football and racing, nothing mad, so take it how you like.

The reason I started using it was honestly a bit daft — I could never figure out what an each way payout actually came to when the place terms changed. I'd just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. Now stick my stake in first, every time, even the boring singles.

The single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — type in your stake, the odds and you get profit and total return straight away, either odds format. It also handles the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, honestly that's where most people I know got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it's over at ew calculator and there's no login wall, which I appreciated.

One thing that really changed how I bet was the more serious tools. The probability calculator that shows what margin's baked in, and a kelly calculator — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is terrifying. The dutch tool is handy too when I'm splitting a race.

Not all sunshine though. The interface feels a bit basic — no polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it works though the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. And nothing on the app store, it's a website and that's it — doesn't bother me but worth saying.

So yeah. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does the job. Anyone who even now works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saves me a fair few dumb bets I'd have regretted.
