FireFox extensions

Go to IMDb and when you view the gallery, if you want to see only the picture, it's hidden as a background image. It saves a lot of time right there. Then if you want the background image for other things, it just makes it so much easier.

Lets you see the status of downloads in a status bar of it's own (auto-hiding when empty). It's extremely useful especially when you're downloading a few files at a time and continuing to surf other pages.

Simply turns the Extensions menu option into a submenu, so you can see them all and choose one faster.

- Forecastfox 0.8.2.5: http://forecastfox.mozdev.org/

Let's you have the weather somewhere on your browser window for instant weather reports.

This one is easy. Google pwnz!

- IE Tab 1.0.7: http://ietab.mozdev.org/

Some sites REQUIRE you to use IE, and this one lets you pick the sites to use IE for (and will do it within FF!)

- Image Toolbar 0.6.3: http://www.cusser.net

Configurable, lets you have a toolbar pop up on the image when hovering over it to let you save/copy/print the image. Very useful (although it CAN be annoying sometimes)

- MR Tech Local Install 4.0: http://www.mrtech.com/extensions/

MRTech has a few extension goodies that are all bundled into this one, including the removal of the install-delay when adding new extensions. Also narrows the rows of the extensions list (looks nice too!)

I think everyone should get this. It's only drawback is that you have to allow the sites that you visit that seem to have stopped working, but the security it offers is remarkable.

Like a "to-do" function, help you remember important appointments/birthdays/etc, so you don't forget while browsing the WWW (Wonderfully Wacky Web)

Useful if you tend to save images often. Set up a few default folder-groups and then you just save it there.

Put "Print Screen" aka Screen Capture on steroids. This will capture an entire page as an image to a file. WORKS WONDERFULLY TOO!

- Tab Mix Plus 0.3: http://tmp.garyr.net

This one is an absolute wonder. This have many/all of the features of other "tab enhancement" extensions, plus other features such as a session saver. Even lets you control the size of the tabs and even lets you have tabs break into multiple rows!

- View Cookies 1.5: http://www.bitstorm.org/extensions/view-cookies/

So useful for seeing the cookies on a site instead of having to hunt for them.

The others that I have that are listed above are just little extras. I hope that this helps others and that others tell what extensions they think are must-haves.

Where did you get that nice, neat little printout at the top of your post? I'd tell you what extensions I have, but it wouldn't look near as nice.

Great... I just checked that site and looked to see if my version number was high enough to use any of those extensions. I'm using an old 1.0.6. Some of those say 1.7-1.8+. I'm updating now. The automatic updater is downloading 1.0.7! What, they don't make it so you can go straight from one version to the most current? Dang, this will take a while... Guess I could uninstall and download the new one, but I need to find where my favorites are stored first.

Go to: Booksmarks / Manage, then File / Export

You could just download the latest version and do a direct install. Uninstalling first might give you the option to retain your bookmarks too. (But backing them up first would be a wise idea).

It does get better. Here's an updated list with another option turned on (gives details per item). I'll probably be removing a few items, got too much bloat.
