Guest single_vvmr
OK — been on this thing for something like four months now and I keep coming back, so figured I'd chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me last week. Am UK based, mainly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, just so you know where I'm coming from. What got me on it was genuinely a bit daft — I could never work out what an each way return actually was when the place terms changed. I used to just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. Now stick my stake in first, every time, even the boring singles. The single bet calculator is the bit I use most — you put in stake and odds and it spits out profit and total return with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn't matter. It also handles the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, which is where most people I know lose track. Have a go yourself, it lives at yankee bet calculator and there's no login wall, which I appreciated. One thing that actually changed how I bet is the geekier tools. There's an implied probability calculator and it makes obvious the overround, and a kelly staking calculator — I use half kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one gets used a fair bit when I'm splitting a race. Couple of gripes. The layout feels pretty plain — not much frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it's usable although the bigger tables are a squeeze. Also there's no proper app, just the site — fine by me but you asked. Right, that's me. Doesn't cost anything, barely any ads, works. If you even now works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saved me a fair few dumb bets I'd have regretted.

Guest single_drmr
So — have been messing about with this thing for maybe five months now and it's stuck on my phone, so thought I'd say something since someone asked me the other day. Am UK based, mostly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, just so you know where I'm coming from. What got me on it was actually a bit daft — I couldn't ever work out what an ew payout actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I'd just guess and get a shock. Now I punch the numbers in before every slip, even a simple single bet. Their single bet calculator is the bit I'm on daily — you put in the price and your stake and it spits out returns straight away, either odds format. It also handles the fiddly ones — trebles maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, and that's where I always mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it's over at single horse bet calculator and it's free with no account nonsense. What genuinely shifted things for me was the geekier bits. There's an odds-to-probability calculator which shows you how much the bookie's taking, and there's the kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutching one is handy too if I'm covering two or three runners. Not all sunshine though. The design feels a bit basic — no flash, it's clearly function over form. Phone-wise it's usable though the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. There's no proper app, it's a website and that's it — fine by me just flagging it. Right, that's me. Doesn't cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. If you honestly does the maths on paper, give it a go — saves me plenty of arguments with the bookie. Guest single_fwmr
OK — been using this thing for about six months now and it's stuck on my phone, so figured I'd chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I'm based in the UK, mostly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like. How I found it was genuinely embarrassing — I could never get my head round what an ew payout actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just wing it and get a shock. Now I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a simple single bet. Their single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — type in your stake, the odds and it shows the return instantly, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — acca and treble returns, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, honestly that's where I'd always mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at what is a trixie bet? and it's free with no account nonsense. One thing that genuinely shifted things for me were the geekier extras. They've got an probability calculator and it makes obvious the overround, plus a kelly calculator — I use half kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit when I'm covering two or three runners. It's not perfect mind. Its layout looks pretty plain — not much polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it works though the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. There's no app, it's a website and that's it — doesn't bother me but you asked. Anyway. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does what it says. If anyone even now works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saves me a load of dumb bets I'd have regretted.

Guest single_pumr
OK — been using this thing for about four months now and it's stuck on my phone, reckon I'd say something since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I'm based in the UK, generally bet football and racing, nothing mad, so take it how you like. I'd just guess and moan when the payout landed. Now type the odds in first, every time, even a simple single bet. One thing that genuinely made a difference is the geekier tools. The probability converter that shows what margin's baked in, and there's the kelly tool — I use half kelly because full kelly is terrifying. The dutching one gets used a fair bit when I'm spreading across selections. Not all sunshine though. The layout feels a bit basic — zero polish, which honestly I don't mind but some will. On my phone it's usable though the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. There's no proper app, it's browser only — slight shame just flagging it. Right, that's me. Doesn't cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If anyone honestly works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — it's saved me a load of dumb bets I'd have regretted.
